The Midwest E3 Summit is September 25-26, 2013 in Indianapolis. The purpose of the E3 Summit is to provide an educational platform for angel investors and entrepreneurs. While our focus is angel education, organizers believe there is much information and benefit entrepreneurs can also gain by having a better understanding of angel tools and expectations learned through these educational workshops.
They are selecting up to 20 qualified companies to participate in a unique, hands-on workshop with StepStone portfolio company CEO’s and IU Kelley School of Business professors. In addition to having ample time to network with and build relationships in the investor community, select ventures will be able to pitch to angels on both days of the event.
Here is a quick summary of the workshop provided by Dr. Todd Saxton, Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, IU Kelley School of Business. IU’s Kelley School of Business will be partnering with StepStone to provide entrepreneurial education. In interactive sessions on venture vision and strategy, marketing, operations, and finance, Kelley faculty will lead sessions designed to enable entrepreneurs in launch and growth phases to better lead critical aspects of their ventures. This will be a workshop format–not a lecture–so prepare to roll up your sleeves and get to work! We expect this partnership to be a key component of developing better ventures and smarter money.

In addition, 10 companies will present to entrepreneurs and investors at the end of the workshop on Wednesday, September 25th / 5 companies will present to the ENTIRE group of attendees on Thursday, September 26th. The top 3 companies will be selected to present to StepStone Angels Network and possibly other angel groups throughout midwest.

NOTE: The registration fee for entrepreneurs to participate in the workshop is $500 per company which includes a full registration for up to two team members PLUS participation in the entire event. Individual registration is $395 per person. More info will be available on the event website.
