Andre Boulais, Senior Director of Engage Strategic Services, Jobvite

Andre’s strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit formed in elementary school, selling gum after lunch for 500% markup to fund his passion for comic books. He’s had his nose to the grindstone ever since. A graduate from Ben Davis high school and a DePauw University English major, Andre excelled football, tennis, and especially rugby. Through sports, he learned more can be accomplished with the help of a team, eventually translating the lesson to his professional career to become a tremendously successful leader.

What does Jobvite do?

Jobvite is a leader in job recruiting software, having helped companies attract over 70 million jobseekers and over 1 million global hires to date. Over 50,000 recruiters from companies such as LinkedIn, Universal Music, Appirio, Zappos, and Ingram Micro utilize Jobvite’s software to hire the best talent for their industry.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley with global offices in San Mateo, New York, London, and Bangalore, Jobvite’s Launch Fishers office has experienced explosive growth – more than 500%, in the past year and a half.

What does your typical day look like at Launch Fishers?

Our typical day involves working with customers ranging in size from 50 employees to over 200,000. I lead an innovative professional services team that partners with leaders of HR, Talent Acquisition, and Employer Branding on how they can attract, nurture, and hire top talent with our software.

Other Jobvite teams based at Launch Fishers include Customer Success, Sales, Career Website Services, HR, among others. The interaction with so many leaders based here in Indiana helps us come up with creative solutions that power the world’s most respected recruiting software.

What prompted your involvement with LF?

I was a former customer of Jobvite’s as the Head of Global Sourcing for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. During that time, I was invited to explore Launch Fishers in its original location (the old library). I loved the atmosphere and concept so much that several members of our team would spend a few days a month working there. It was a great change up from our downtown office on Monument Circle.

When I left Salesforce to join Jobvite, one of my 1st presentations to our CEO spoke to the value of investing in an office out of Launch Fishers. He listened, and in 2015 I began working out of the current location. We are now at 17 employees based in Indiana with two offices out of Launch Fishers.

How has your company benefited from your affiliation with LF?

Our company has benefited greatly from the Launch Fishers experience. Not only has it fostered professional growth for our coworkers, it’s provided an excellent opportunity to interact with so many progressive companies based out of LF.

We’ve also enjoyed many philanthropic opportunities, have given several Lunch & Learns on how to impress recruiters on LinkedIn, and taken advantage of the summer internship program, utilizing 5 interns over the past few years which benefits our company as well as helps develop future leaders in tech.

What do you hope to gain from your affiliation with LF in the future?

Our goal is to help advance technology across all of Indiana. We’re very interested in sharing our story with others interested in hiring great talent out of Launch Fishers.

What advice would you give to an aspiring entrepreneur?

You have to plan for success. An idea is just a dream without a plan.
