From Alabama to Indiana

Residing in Alabama most of his life, John Blythe hasn’t been privy to the startup, “tech-y” scene that we’re all immersed in– until now.

When a new job opportunity presented itself at Curvo Labs, Inc. to become the lead developer, John understood that with chance, luck, experience and opportunity on his side, he could immerse himself and his family into a completely different culture and lifestyle up here in Indiana; the type of lifestyle that was never going to be offered in his hometown of Mobile.

“Indiana was a great choice because of how much opportunity is offered in the innovation-driven entrepreneurial community,” said John.

Launch Fishers has offered John an alternative to working at a coffee shop, library or at home with two small children where working and concentrating are often times seemingly impossible. In just a few short months, John has already taken the opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs behind the popular startups that we so often hear about. From Verge events at the Speak Easy and TechPoint Tech Thursdays, to member meet ups at Launch Fishers, John has been able to network and experience the benefits of meeting other people in this startup culture.

“I have met people both professionally and personally who have already made a deep impact on my life.”
