Terre Haute is Growing Its Entrepreneurial Community

Terre Haute has a vibrant entrepreneurial community and we are excited to be taking our first Launch Indiana entrepreneur’s bootcamp to the area! The Lean Movement, facilitate by Kyle Shipley (@kyleashipley), will be held at the Children’s Museum on May 14 from 1-5 PM.

When we visited the area, we found that the entrepreneurial ecosystem building an infrastructure to collaborate and support the companies starting and growing throughout the Wabash Valley.

Here are the highlights of some of the resources available.

West Central Indiana Small Business Development and the Business Engagement Center located at Indiana State University provides confidential and complimentary services ranging from business/strategic planning, import/export, government contracting and marketing to student internships, research, connecting service providers and accounting and many more to help local companies thrive in the current market place.

Launch Terre Haute, Launch Terre Haute Co-Work Space, Verge Terre Haute, and Tech Haute provide high-tech and innovative services to aspiring entrepreneurs and current pre-venture clients. The co-work space provides office space, technology services, and meeting space to business owners as they create and operate their companies in the early stages of development. 

SCORElocated on the corner of the Ivy Tech Campus and Highway 41 South, provides complimentary and confidential business consultation and educational seminars.

Rose-Hulman Ventures, a program of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, brings together outstanding students with technology-based companies. For students, that means the best engineering professional practice experience possible within an academic program. For businesses, it means prototypes, refining the design of existing products, and expanding current engineering capabilities.

Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council is an outlet for companies with less than 30 full-time employees to network with each other to share challenges and find solutions.
