Bootcamp Callout for Young Entrepreneurs!

Bootcamp Callout for Young Entrepreneurs!

Launch Fishers is hosting their 5th annual high school fellowship program with the mission to discover and develop future entrepreneurs. Any high school student who lives in the Hamilton Southeastern school district can participate.

“This is an amazing opportunity for students to gain real-world experiences. Our former interns’ feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with many students returning for a second internship. Launch Fishers and the host companies do a great job matching skill sets and interest with the right industries and job duties.”

— Marisa Pennington, program director

Last year 61 students applied and 38 were accepted into the bootcamp, split evenly between Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers High School, along with two from area private schools. This summer’s bootcamp runs from June 3-7 from 9am to 4:30pm. Each day begins with an introduction followed by guest speakers covering a wide variety of entrepreneurial and general business topics. Near the end of the day, students will participate in workshops to sharpen their professional skills, including resume building, LinkedIn profile creation, and mock interviews.

As the bootcamp comes to an end, students will have the opportunity to interview with host companies working with Launch Fishers to begin a summer paid internship. This bootcamp gives high school students a great opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship while ultimately being able to work for a real business.
