The seventh annual Innovation Showcase took place last week at the Dallara IndyCar Factory. Over 70 companies were given 60 seconds each to pitch to potential investors. At the end of the day it was Pi Lab and their product Edwin the Duck that took home the grand prize of over $70,000 in cash and prizes!

Never witnessed a pitch competition before? You’re missing out on some seriously exciting stuff! Numerous companies that took part in the competition are also Launch Fishers member companies. Brand Amper is one of those companies. Here’s Jason Seiden during his 60 second pitch.

Bailey Paxton is co-founder of Paxton Medical. He also happens to be a former intern with us at Launch Fishers. This year Bailey became the first high school student to ever pitch at the Innovation Showcase. And, to add to his success, he made it to the final round of the pitch competition!

The afternoon consisted of conversations and networking at company booths. The Dallara factory was bursting with energy as time grew closer to announcing the grand prize winner.

At 4:00 p.m. the crowd gathered around the stage once more to hear which company would take home the $73,000 in cash and prizes. Congratulations to the team at Pi Lab and their product Edwin the Duck! Check out the details on the prize package here.
